Firstly, the Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun vs Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence comparison are real and necessary. So don’t think I woke up today and just decided to put these two bad bitches against each other. They both have lots of similarities hence the constant comparison.
Packaging and Price
Both products come in similar opaque airtight tubes. While the purito tube is matte and white, the Klairs tube is glossy and white. The Purito tube gives better grip while the Klairs stayed neater throughout duration of use.
Both sunscreens are affordable. The Purito retails at $18.90 for 60ml while the Klairs cos $23 for 80ml. I hate math so I’m not working out the price per ml.
Purito Centella Green Level Unscented vs Klairs Soft Airy UV Ingredients
Standout Ingredients in Purito are: Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid with niacinamide and adenosine.
Standout Ingredients in Klairs are: Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, niacinamide, Allantoin, and adenosine.
I try to get all the brightening I can and the Klairs has niacinamide which I love. However the Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun has more soothing ingredients. The Purito wins for the skin soothing ingredients. It also didn’t help that Klairs had essential oil. My skin didn’t seem to mind one bit.
Purito Centella Green Level Unscented vs Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence Texture and Finish
The Purito feels like a light moisturizer while the Klairs was more essency. If Purito was moisturizing which it was, then Klairs was more hydrating. The Klairs was also more watery than the purito.
Both products are relatively lighter than most sunscreens and can easily replace moisturizer. I have oily skin so I found the more hydrating Klairs to be a better for my skin due to its finish. The Klairs dries down faster and keeps me more hydrated and dewy. Purito left an oily finish that got worse with each reapplication.
Neither left a white cast.
I already said in their individual reviews here and here, how Klairs worked better for me. The main reason I use sunscreen is to avoid sun damage and improve hyperpigmentation and Klairs was what did that work. My skin saw more improvement on a tube of Klairs than 3 tubes of Purito. True Story. Purito did not do much when it came down to the real thing.
There was serious tanning going on with the Purito. I’d leave the house for a few minutes and come back with my skin looking like I slept in the sun all day. I admit I reapplied the Klairs more than the Purito because it was both cooling and hydrating. However I spend most of my day indoors so I know I tanned because the Purito wasn’t just that good.
